Illinois Vintage Fest – A Weekend of Art, Music & Community
07 March, 2025
In February 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in Illinois Vintage Fest at Bell Works in Hoffman Estates. This two-day event was a whirlwind of creativity, connection, and excitement. I set up shop alongside my brother—he sold vintage clothing while I showcased and sold my artwork. It was such a great experience to not only share my work but also to meet so many people who resonated with it.
For this event, we experimented with a Set Your Own Price model, allowing visitors to determine how much they wanted to pay for my art. It was such a unique and engaging way to connect with people—it led to some great conversations about the value of art and made each sale feel even more personal. Seeing people light up when they realized they could afford a piece they truly loved was incredibly rewarding.
The atmosphere at Illinois Vintage Fest was unmatched. My brother kept the vibes going by playing music at our booth, and we handed out little flowers to spread even more joy. The event was packed with amazing vendors selling everything from handmade jewelry to custom-painted jackets, vintage finds, and artisanal goods. It felt like being surrounded by a community of creative entrepreneurs, each with their own unique story and craft. We met so many talented and passionate people, and the energy was just infectious.
Beyond selling art, this event was about being part of something bigger—celebrating local artists, small businesses, and the love of vintage and handmade goods. The support from everyone who stopped by was overwhelming in the best way, and I left feeling so inspired. It was truly a beautiful experience, and I can’t wait to do more events like this in the future!
